If your single keywords are being erroneously split, see Keyword Help
Remember, you can always force custom keywords by separating keywords with a space, or by Capitalizing your keywords. For instance, Refinance.com, Dofa.com, or UsedCars.com. Alternatively, you can separate the keywords with a space, for instance, you could enter: domain name appraisals.com
EstiBot can detect keywords in a domain name automatically
for many English domain names. Enter the domain name in all lowercase letters, and EstiBot
will attempt to detect the keywords automatically.
Domain appraisal is not an exact science. EstiBot cannot give you an exact value; it is designed to give you a ballpark valuation to help you begin a critical appraisal of your own domain names. The appraisal value given by EstiBot is intended as a pointer, a quick-look summary of the potential ballpark value of the domain based on its keyword characteristics. Please don't just look at the valuation number - also read the explanations provided on the results page, and study the keyword data. The keywords that are used for the
valuation are mentioned.
Please note that the Traffic estimation is unverified. Due to problems with fake Alexa rank, the domain "valuation considering traffic" may be erroneous. Please click on the ** or the "unverified" link to check whether the Alexa rank and traffic estimation are credible.
EstiBot is designed to give you some solid keyword data and a ballpark dollar value appraisal - do not take the dollar value literally, just use it as a pointer - if it's high, it means that the domain is at least worth a closer look. There are no guarantees that anyone will pay that amount of money for your domain. Do not make purchase or sale decisions based on this appraisal alone.
Please be critical.
If you get an unexpected value, the main thing is to ask
yourself:
-Is this a realistic appraisal? If not, look at your domain
name and ask yourself why EstiBot may be appraising it wrong.
Chances are that you'll figure it out. If you think "my
domain can't possibly be worth that" or "my domain is
absolutely certainly worth more than that", then you are
probably (but not necessarily) right.
Look at the keyword data, and pay close attention to
what EstiBot says in the explanation sections at the top of the screen.
Then run it again with keyword separation with a space or by capitalization to have EstiBot check for your exact term.
Pick the valuation that you think is the most realistic, and
work from that.
If it's still looking suspicious, then please report it to
me. EstiBot often puts domains in roughly the right ballpark, but sometimes it just gets it wrong.
All automated domain appraisals require human interpretation, and EstiBot does not claim to be an exception to this rule. While EstiBot appraisals statistically have good overall predictive value when looking for a ballpark estimation, the results still require interpretation by a critical human mind in order to get the most out of EstiBot valuation.
EstiBot is optimized for low-to-mid end domains, because that's the range of interest for the vast majority of domainers. If you get an EstiBot valuation of >$100,000 or so, and you are unsure of the value of your domain, it may be worth getting a professional appraisal. The domain can be worth hundreds of thousands if not millions to the right buyer. EstiBot is not designed to give you an exact value; it's designed to give you a ballpark value, especially in the < $50,000 range.
EstiBot can also be used as a keyword research tool; for each domain name, a summary of EstiBot's keyword research is displayed for your convenience. Use this information to your advantage, and interpret the EstiBot appraisal in light of what you already know about the market for your domain name.
Some domain names can be undervalued or overvalued by EstiBot because the valuation model, while statistically good, is not infallible and the domain name market can be very unpredictable at times- just like the stock market. Consider EstiBot's valuation as one of the tools you have at your disposal when appraising a domain name.
If you feel that there is a serious discrepancy between the EstiBot appraisal and your own idea of the value of your domain name, please contact me - it will help me to make EstiBot even better, and I will be happy to provide you with my own insights regarding your domain name and the EstiBot valuation. Remember that EstiBot's thorough analysis may reveal some hidden value in your domain name that you were not aware of!
Here is a rough guide to interpreting the EstiBot appraisal
results:
EstiBot valuation "Reg Fee": Your domain
name does not appear to have any immediately obvious
significant value in the domain name market. EstiBot thinks
it's worth the registration fee, but not much more. However,
if your domain is short, pronounceable and sounds catchy
(think Google, YouTube), it might be a brandable name and
could possibly be valuable to an interested end user in the
future. Chances are however that this domain name may be hard
to sell, and might not increase in value without serious
development.
EstiBot valuation $20-$200: There is some
potential in your domain name; with proper branding,
development and marketing, you might be able to increase the
value of this domain beyond the appraisal. If you registered
this domain for reg fee ($20 or less), you might just be able
to flip this one for a quick little profit to fund further
purchases.
EstiBot valuation $200-$1,000: Your domain
name has some inherent value or at least potential, and could
possibly be sold to a motivated buyer for up to a thousand
dollars or more. This domain name may increase in value if
you hold on to it for a while. Remember that domain names in this value range can be
difficult to sell to resellers for any significant profit,
and you might end up waiting a long time for a motivated
buyer to come along. Patience is a virtue in this price
range. You might want to promote and sell this one on
domainer forums for a very modest profit if you want to move it quickly.
EstiBot valuation $1,000-$10,000: You may have
in your hands possibly a very valuable domain name with
significant inherent value. Probably a reasonably strong
keyword name, aged domain, or a brandable name that makes
immediate sense as a phrase. It might be worth looking for a
broker to find a serious buyer for your name. Alternatively,
you could try to market this actively to potential end users.
EstiBot valuation $10,000-$100,000: This is
probably a very strong premium keyword domain name. This
domain name can probably be sold quickly to a reseller for a
not insignificant sum of money, but also it might be worth
several hundred thousand dollars to the right end user, so
obviously you should consider your options very carefully.
Make sure your domain is registered with a secure, reputable
registrar.
EstiBot valuation $100,000 and above:
Congratulations - if you own this domain name, you probably
don't need EstiBot to tell you that this is an immensely
valuable domain name and could be worth hundreds of
thousands, or even millions to the right buyer.
